Event Description
In a tribute to our name and to Canadian culture, the Canadian Men's Chorus presents an exciting concert of entirely Canadian music for men's voices.
This exciting performance will showcase several premiere performances of brand new Canadian works by:
- Saman Shahi - Toronto-Iranian composer and performer
- Edward Moroney - Toronto based composer, organist, and educator
- Matthew Emery - Vancouver based composer and performer
Join us for a pre-concert chat at 7:40 with composers Saman Shahi from Toronto and Matthew Emery from British Columbia.
We'll be premiering a number of their works that night: a trio of pieces by Shahi based on poems by Omar Khayyam and a triptych by Emery based on poems by early Canadian poet Marjorie Pickthall.
